In lieu of Mike Monday, here are our snow pictures from the weekend. After the Winter Storm Warnings were issued, there were hundreds of closings, the stores were mobbed beforehand for bread and milk, and everyone hunkered down Friday night and all of Saturday in anticipation of this:

Trust me, that white haze on the
grass weeds is honest-to-God snow.
The
flurries Winter Storm wreaked its fury for almost an entire 20 minutes Saturday afternoon.

Victims of cabin fever after the extended
time spent watching college basketball and lounging by the fire onslaught of foul weather, we finally made our way through the blizzard to seek the company of other brave souls.

(so daring to wear suede in a squall)
The band at Slim's canceled due to
silliness inclement weather, so we visited The Raleigh Times and wandered up to Snoopy's for a
hearty bowl of stew "Snoopy Dog."
We bid our cab driver goodnight and cautioned him to beware the treacherous driving conditions. After
falling out of the cab laughing thanking us for our thoughtfulness, he disappeared into the tempest, and our party disintegrated on the sidewalk, just as the
many 18 snowflakes would do the following day.
