I could make excuses here . . . we haven't been home this year . . . we've been prepping the boat . . . we're not going to be home for Christmas anyway . . . whatever.
Let's just take a tour, shall we?
First, we have this

Gee, what's hiding behind those branches?

Pulling on the not-so-natural-looking white cord reveals this.

You mean to say that you can't tell what that is? It's our exterior Christmas decoration, a snowflake, of course.

Where did this snowflake come from? The chimney, of course.

Closer inspection reveals . . .

Now, let's take a look inside.

At first, you might think
Now, here is the decorating we've actually done this year:

And not just that, but we did it before Thanksgiving. Right around the same time that we observed this was still sitting out. And still is. On display. For all the world to see.

CHRISTMAS like KIDS is way overrated. Much better sitting at the JIB ROOM drinking a Jason special BILGE BURNER.
Happy Holidays

Pretty funny -- I am lillte concerned that my gardener had not noticed the Christmas Star. I really need to follow-up on what he is doing.
Well if it is any consolation I don't have plans to do any decorating or very little. While the dogs are in a huff -- who really cares, I mean there not reindeers!! When they learn to fly, they can have opinions!
Haha. But go easy on the gardener--we never ended up using him (as you can probably tell by the state of the rest of the clover field/yard.
So I need to get Truffie a red nose and wings? Echo will be so jealous.
honestly - while i was in the neighborhood the other night frantically returning echo in his moment of poor health, i did take a gander around at the other homes and thought - gees - these people really know how to do it up, and then i hesitated - wait - dad and sloane KNOW how to do it up, and that's why there aren't any decorations. they are too busy doing it up at the jib room! and i searched for the snowflake on the chimney and noticed that night it had mysteriously disappeared and couldn't imagine where it went - perhaps dad took it down during mast climbing practice? just a quess. i then shrugged my shoulders, as i often do when thinking about "my parents" life and went about my business. love you guys!
