Abaco Cruisers' Net

Happy Friday! Today I'm sharing two snippets of The Abaco Cruisers' Net, which airs daily in the Abacos at 8:15 on VHF 68.

It's usually about an hour long, so I've included only the daily greeting and an example of one of the invitations. (Since our base is Marsh Harbour Marina, I've taken the editorial license of that being the invitation included.) :D

Just a little Abaco flavor. If you're interested in listening to the entire Net anytime, you can find it at http://abacomessageboard.com/CruisersNet.html.

I'll echo "Boo" (Linda): Have a great day!

FAJITA FRIDAY!!! Will we make it? I am fearful that according to my VPJ (Vintage Props & Jets) Reservations that we will arrive in Marsh Harbour a mere 2.5 hours late! I will not fret however - there is always the next friday! According to our flight itinerary, the Bahamas is a family island? Does this ring a bell to you, Captain Mike and Sloane? I never heard a mention of that???

Yes, the country of the Bahamas is made up of a family of islands: the Abacos, Andros, Bimini, Eleuthera, Exumas, Grand Bahama, New Providence, Paradise Island, and then the Out Islands, like Acklins/ Crooked Island, Berry Islands, Cat Island, Inagua Islands, Long Island, Mayaguana Island, and San Salvador Island.

We'll be spending our time in the Cays of the Abacos for Christmas. After that, we're looking at Cat, Eleuthera, Exumas, and the Berries as possibilities for this spring.
